TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
Fly via Baku to Nakhchivan
Arrive in Nakchivan where you will be met by NAKHCHIVAN/NATIG Travel representatives and transferred to the hotel where you will stay during your trip. Have the evening free to enjoy dinner and refresh yourself after the flight.
DAY 2
Will spend 3 full days (three nights) in this” Hidden Gem” of the Caucasus, known as Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the enclave of Azerbaijan.
Location: Will start very early in the morning to our tour and will drive to Batabat in Shahbuz region in the morning with stops along the road in the way back. The wadi in the afternoon. Bird species and sceneries indicate that eastern Anatolia, Turkey, is not far away: Mongolian, Trumpeter and Desert Finch, Persian Wheatear, See-see Partridge, Pale Rock Sparrow, White-throated Robin, Upcher´s Warbler, Radde’s Accentor and Grey-necked Bunting are among our targets. On the way to Batabat at about 1500 m asl, the typical habitat of Irania which is very common here.

DAY 3
Breakfast at the hotel
Full day bird watching – guide will escort you and advise where is allowed to go and where no. Negram mountains, the lowest and driest part of Nakhchivan. Probably the best place to see Mongolian Finch.
Location: We take a tour early in the morning and will have some sessions of walk on the Negram crater. (In Negram mountains will observe See-see Partridge, Pale Rock Sparrow, Lanner Falcon, Trumpeter Finches, Mongolian Finche, Grey-necked Bunting, Persian Wheatear, Eastern Rock Nuthach, Black-bellied Sandgrouse).

Half day bird watching – guide will escort you and advise where is allowed to go and where no.
Location: Ilandag mountain to see Bimaculated Lark, Crimson-winged Finches, and many others including Uppchers Warbler, finishing at Daridag for Desert Finches
