Our purpose as a travel company will be to educate the public about the role that the honeybee plays in our own existence.

Come the month of September 28th and 29th, Historic Museum Complex Nakhchivangala will be abuzz as it prepares for the Nakhchivan Honey Festival. Beekeepers will offer creative and tasty honey centric menus during 2 days.

The Nakhchivan Honey Festival’s mission is to promote honey, honey bees and their products, and beekeeping through this unique educational platform, to the broader public.
Through lectures and demonstrations, the festival will help develop an interest in beekeeping by the younger generation. Attendees will learn about the myriad of issues that confront honey bees including pesticide use, diseases and even the weather! In addition, attendees can learn how to creatively plant their gardens to help feed all of our pollinators. It is important for the community to appreciate and understand the importance of bees as the lead pollinator of many of our crops adding to the food diversity we have come to enjoy.

Nakhchivan is famous for its beautiful nature and opened its doors for all sweet lovers at Nakhchivangala city citadel. Beekeepers and farmers from the villages of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to present varieties of honey – soft honeycombs, royal jelly, medicinal propolis and others. Honey festival holding with the aim to promote beekeeping products and development of agriculture. The festival participants will enjoy delicious honey products and visit the exhibition and the open fair of handmade crafts and souvenirs. Beekeeping is becoming a profitable business as it is one of the state-supported agricultural sectors in Nakhchivan AR.

In Azerbaijan, there are about 600 species of honey plants, of which almost 200, as a source of nectar and pollen, create even greater natural opportunities for expanding beekeeping.

Beekeeping development can contribute increasing the income of the rural population and ensuring its employment. A number of measures have been implemented at the state level to develop beekeeping in the country. As a result of these measures, there has been a significant increase in the number of bee colonies, the production of honey and other beekeeping products and export of honey.

President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on the appointment of subsidies for a period of 5 years (2018-2023) for individuals and legal entities involved in beekeeping in March this year.

In accordance with the decree, in order to stimulate the development of beekeeping in the country, support small businesses and provide employment in rural areas to individuals and legal entities involved in beekeeping, a subsidy worth 10 mantas ($5.88) per year for each bee family (beehive) will be paid during five years, including this year as well.
