TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 – 20 MARCH
1. Nakhchivangala ( old city citadel), the historical center of Nakhchivan, where most traditional festivities take place. Tents are fixed to offer souvenirs and picture opportunities in national costumes. Families and people are standing in lines by the manghals in kebab (barbecue) smoke. A stage stands in front of the Nakhchivangala Museum complex for dance performances and live music, are eager for the show to start. The official part of Novruz Holiday starts with coming the head of Supreme Majlis V.Talibov excellency.
2. Next to Nakhchivangala can visit to Prophet Noah’s Grave Tomb
This is one of the important places on the territory of the autonomous republic related to the Flood. It is claimed, researched and confirmed that Prophet Noah has been buried here. As Prophets Noah and Adam lived in the same period of time in history, both were caught by the Flood 10,000 years ago. The graves of Noah’s wife and mother are in the town of Marand, in Southern Azerbaijan (south-western Iran). It is strongly believed that Noah’s own grave is in an area called Kohnagala (old fortress) in the town of Nakhchivan. Large-scale archaeological excavations have been carried out here in recent years.
3. Nakhchivan City sightseeing: XII centuries architectural masterpiece Momina Khatun by Ajami Nakhchivani, Khan’s Palace, Yusif Ibn Kuseir cultural assets.

4.The Garabaghlar / Judi Khatun mausoleum is the prominent landmark of XIV century in Nakhchivan, Land of Noah. On way if lucky have chance to see Mount Agri.
5. Duzdag Salt Mine Cave. Mount Duzdag is made of salt and the salt sanatorium there is excellent for healing chronic respiratory problems.

1.Ordubad – One of the interesting traditions of Novruz is celebrated with the arrival of Ordubad Khan to the old part of Ordubad city, Old mosque with the national musical instruments “zurna” and “nagara” – drum accompaniment.
“Papagatdi” is the ancient tradition in the area that children knock at the neighbors’ doors and leave their caps, hats or a little basket waiting for candies, pastry and nuts.
Note: Appointed the vizier during the reign of Shah Abbas the First, Hatambey Ordubadi played an important role in the running of the great Safavid Empire. After his visit to Ordubad in 1606, Shah Abbas the First presented the city to him as soyurgal and Hatambey realized extensive construction works there. The population of Ordubad was exempted from taxes by a decree of Shah Abbas the First (1607). The inscription of the decree still remains.

There is also an AngloNorman poem, “Golden Legend”related with the same legend. German,British, Slav, Indian, Jewish, Chinese, and Arabian version of this legend exist also.
