Itinerary
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is an integral part of Azerbaijani republic, remains a region of breathtaking landscapes, quaint villages, and a cuisine distinct from the rest of the country. It’s also scattered with historical monuments and a growing list of touristic attractions.
Our tour guide will meet you in the arrival hall of Nakhchivan International Airport (exact meeting time will be communicated well in advance per email in accordance with your flight schedule).
Nakhchivan City sightseeing:
Take a trip to Nakhchivan to discover sites such as the 12th-century Mausoleum of Momina Khatun and Yusif Ibn Kuseir monument, XVIII centuries Khans’ Palace and Prophet Noah’s Grave Tomb.

Traditional Nakhchivani lunch

While driving the scenic route to Alinjagala castle you’ll see the iconic cleft peak of Mount Ilandag, said to have been carved out by Noah’s Ark. Not surprisingly, this is becoming a truly unmissable destination to visit, where local people embrace visitors with amazing warmth and hospitality.

It is time to admire the fortress of Alinja, an imposing defensive construction dating back to the XII century strikingly resembling the legendary Incan town of Machu Picchu (or at least an Azerbaijani version of it).

“The Machu Picchu of Azerbaijan.” That is how some locals have described the site of Alinja Castle, whose recently restored ruins are likely to become one of the prime tourist attractions of Azerbaijan’s disconnected Nakhchivan exclave.

On our way back to Nakhchivan City visiting to  Duzdag Salt Mine, a surreal asthma treatment centre built inside.
